Nationwide Fire & EMS Interop Channels

The channels listed here are the nationwide fire-service, EMS, and public-safety interoperability channels published in the National Interoperability Field Operations Guide (NIFOG). They're licensed for use everywhere in the United States and form the canonical interop bank that every fire department, EMS agency, and dispatch center should have programmed into its radios. Each channel name links to a detail page explaining how it's used, the mode and tone, and which states have it on file in our directory.

Channels are grouped by frequency band: VHF (the historic fire-service band centered around 154 MHz), UHF (453–470 MHz, used for hospital-EMS and increasingly for tactical interop), 700 MHz (P25 digital interop opened up in the post-DTV transition), and 800 MHz (the legacy public-safety mutual aid block).
